Summer Sessions

The University of Evansville offers a wide range of courses in the summer including:

  • Summer I (begins Monday, May 13, 2024)
  • Summer II (begins Monday, June 17, 2024)
  • Summer at Harlaxton

These courses offer students the opportunity to:

  • Earn credits towards graduation
  • Lighten fall and spring course schedules
  • Complete missing requirements

Registration Policies

  • UE students may register for summer courses on Self-Service beginning Monday, February 26, 2024.
  • Maximum 9 credits or 10 with lab. If UE students want to take more than 10 credits, they must complete the overload petition form and the student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
  • Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment. In such an event, you will be notified by the department/instructor and will receive 100% refund.
  • Special Students may register and pay in full for summer courses beginning Monday, March 4, 2024.

Important Dates for Summer Session I

  • Monday, February 26, 2024 - Registration begins for UE Students.
  • Monday, March 4, 2024 - Registration begins for Special Students.
  • Monday, May 13, 2024 - Classes begin for Summer Session I.
  • Tuesday, May 14, 2024 - Last day to register or add a Summer Session I course at 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 14, 2024 - Last day to drop a Summer I course without a "W" grade at 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday, June 7, 2024 - Last day to drop a Summer I course with a "W" grade at 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday, June 14, 2024 – Classes end for Summer Session I.

Important Dates for Summer Session II

  • Monday, February 26, 2024 - Registration begins for UE Students.
  • Monday, March 4, 2024 - Registration begins for Special Students.
  • Monday, June 17, 2024 - Classes begin for Summer Session II.
  • Tuesday, June 18, 2024 - Last day to register or add a Summer Session II course at 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 18, 2024 - Last day to drop a Summer II course without a "W" grade at 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday, July 12, 2024 - Last day to drop a Summer II course with a "W" grade at 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday, July 19, 2024 - Classes end for Summer Session II.

Summer Courses

2024 Tuition and Fees

The undergraduate tuition rate for Summer 2024 is $600 per credit hour. Fees per term include a $55 registration fee and a $44 technology fee. Payment for Summer 1 is due by Monday, April 15, 2024. Payment for Summer 2 is due by Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

The amount of institutional charges that will be refunded is determined as follows:

Financial Aid

  • For UE students in degree-seeking programs enrolled in course work through UE, financial aid may be available. The Office of Student Financial Services will assess aid eligibility for all forms of aid based on enrollment and summer cost of attendance.
  • A Summer Financial Aid Application should be completed indicating the courses and enrollment plan for summer and returned to the Office of Student Financial Services as soon as possible. Contact the Office of Student Financial Services (812-488-2364) if you have questions about aid eligibility.

Summer Session Payment Plan

Payment plans for summer session courses are available now. Contact the cashiers in the Office of Student Financial Services (Olmsted Administration Hall, room 105G) at 812-488-2565 to set up a payment plan. Payments can be arranged from the point of set-up to the due date of the session. There is no fee for the payment plan.

Students should contact the Office of Student Financial Services no later than Reading-Study Day, Thursday, April 25, 2024 to determine if financial aid is available for their summer courses.

Graduation

If your Summer Session enrollment is the final credit(s) needed to complete a degree requirement, you will be considered a summer graduate.
